Asian Style Chicken Biryani

Biryani is love and one of the most favorite dishes for most of us. It is filled with spices and loaded with flavors. It has a remarkable taste that won’t leave your tongue for a long time. It is so delicious that I can’t get over it. No matter how strict a diet I have been following, I won’t miss the chance whenever I get a hand on it. If you haven’t tried it at home yet, you should take a chance. It may take a little longer to cook, but it’s worth it.

     Delicious.             Yummy.

Ingredients:

Method:

Step 1:

First, I will prepare my chicken by washing it. Now marinate the chicken with all the spices: salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, biryani masala, yogurt, and some mustard oil. Keep for 10–15 minutes.

Step 2:

Add some butter to the pan. Add cumin seeds and, one by one, chopped onions, garlic, bay leaf, cardamoms, cinnamon, and garlic-ginger paste. Cook until the onions are slightly brown.

Step 3:

Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook on medium to low heat until the water gets out of the chicken. Cook the chicken in the chicken juice for 20–25 minutes.

Step 4:

Meanwhile, wash the rice and put it into a big strainer for 10 minutes. I used basmati rice, but you can use any kind of rice, like jasmine. Then add 5 cups of water to the chicken. Again, cook for 10–15 more minutes.

Step 5:

Check the chicken pieces to see if they are cooked well. Add the rice to the chicken. Mix it well and cover with a lid. Cook on medium to low heat for 10–15 minutes. Check if the rice is properly cooked. If not, then leave it to steam for 10 more minutes. When the rice and chicken are both properly cooked, serve the biryani on a plate and garnish with some coriander leaves.
