Notes:

  • The sodium level is relatively high due to soy sauce and oyster sauce, so consider using low-sodium alternatives if needed.
  • The dish is rich in protein and healthy fats (mainly from olive oil), providing a balanced meal when paired with fried rice.
  • Vitamin C is elevated due to chilies, helping boost immune health.

Ingredients:

Method:

Step 1:

First, I put 1 tablespoon of olive oil in the pan and added the chicken pieces. Cook for 4-5 minutes on medium to low heat. Then add garlic, ginger paste, some salt, and pepper. Cook for 10 minutes more on medium to low heat.

Step 2:

When the chicken pieces are done cooking, remove them from the pan. Now, again, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan. Add garlic cloves and tomato sauce. Put the other ingredients, like soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, red chili flakes, and salt, all together.

Step 3:

Now, add the chicken pieces and cook for 10-12 minutes more on low heat. In the last minute, add chilies to the pan. After 2-3 minutes, it’s done. Transfer the dish to a plate and enjoy with fried rice.
